Skill: Shroud of Invisibility
I was thinking of some neaat skills and here is one of them
Class: Assassin
Shroud of Invisibility [Elite]
Energy: 25
Recharge: 220 Seconds
Cast Time: 10 Seconds
Elite Enchantment. As long as this enchantment is maintained you move 50% slower and you cannot be targeted by any enemy target. This enchantment ends when you use a skill or move too close to an enemy. You are easily inturrupted when casting this enchantment. (No attribute)
When you use this skill, only members of your party/team can see you as partially visible, like a ghost, and the enemy can not see you at all.
This skill would be good for sneak attacks for assassins and would make the class much more popular, I would want one!

People would use it to farm every boss, not to mention runs like droknars would become trivial.

I cant think of any sitution this would be applicable. Assasins already have plenty of speed boost and skills that allow them to remove themselves from combat. It seems this would be a bit overpowered..

This is stealth from EQ2 and WoW!
I don't like the PVE applications, as I think they would be very unbalanced.

Ok, so it makes farming for assassins easier, that will make lots of people happy.
And I dont aggree with it making droks runs better, it will take 2-3x as long with the 50% slowdown.

You can make a skillbar with 7 other running skills to pretty much negate this.. and even if you dont, it would be probably be faster since its garanteed than getting a test run or a "pro" runner that needs 2-3 tries to succeed.

I don't see how you could farm or run with this skill, it ends once you use another skill.

All I know is that in EQ2 stealth and invisibility were so powerful they had to change the entire game mechanic for PVP because it was insane! Plus stealth and invisibility are still uber in EQ2 PVE despite monsters having see stealth and see invisibilty skills.
I'm very sorry, but I'm thinking that being invisible just won't work in this game without having to rebuild so many rules to tone down it's effectiveness.

You can run with it by using it like a permanent shadow form whenever you're in danger of dying. As for farming, you can use this skill to gain aggro and move to a boss, sliver armor, kill the boss, then use it again to escape the mob without harm. Not to mention you can just use regular attacks to kill the boss or any other mob.
This is not to mention something like a dervish running this skill and getting smited too...or a flagrunner that uses this skill to prevent any harm during the critical stages of running...or a 8 person gank team that suddenly appears and kills the bodyguard as well as the guild lord.

If you actually wanted it like that...
25 Energy
8 Second Casting
300 Seconds Recharge
Ends when you attack or use a skill.

What about this?
Strike from the Shadows (Elite)
energy???, cast3/4, recast??? -1 upkeep
While this enchantment is maintained you cannot be seen unless you are within 10' at which point Strike from the Shadows ends. You cannot move while enchanted with Strike from the Shadows. When this enchantment is manually canceled you shadow Step to target foe and gain +x to your critical strikes and dagger mastery for x attacks.

Well, now that it ends when you are too close to an enemy, its not even worth arguing over!
If you could run by an enemy undetected in PVE, it would most certainly take out the time and dedication it takes to get the cartography title..
Making it more un-leet like hero battles /roll 100 title

Lets compare your suggestion with the one skill that kind does this already.
They can see you but it doesnt really help them cause they can almost not touch you.
Shadow Form [Elite]
For 5...17 seconds, all hostile Spells that target you fail and all attacks against you miss. When Shadow Form ends, lose all but 5...41 Health.
Look at that one next to your suggestion, rethink it and then come back with something balanced.

It's already there.
Shadow Form.
Shadow form doesn't have the huge drawback for nothing.
